Do we have an actual definition as to the requirements to be in GTG? It has seemed to evolve over the last couple years and i am not exactly sure what it is right now. Showed & earned money before in other disciplines? (cutting, reining, AQHA, etc) Gone down the fence? Shown for a number of years? The reason I ask is because last year, the class was dominated by people winning the NRCHA NP Ltd classes at the major events, which is why the GTG was started, so people could compete at their own level... as an entry level class. Thanks! Have a great day!! ~ Mark VanBlankenstein
ANSWER According the the NSHA Greener than Grass Class Boxing class is open to beginning level non-pro riders who have earned lass than 200 points, and/or less than $1500 at any cow horse competition. Contestants can have gone down the fence BUT can only fall back into the boxing classes one time. Contestants do not need to own the horse they are showing
